Lots of hedgerown scratches after offroading
Discussion
Foolishly took my new defender offroad and through some really narrow hedgerows etc. Unsurprisingly it now has lots of scratched on both sides of the car along the full length. They seem like surface scratches or most of them do. What do you suggest for the surface scratches and for any that are too deep?
As above dude, should'nt be too hard to remove, just a bit time consuming. Machine polish, hexlogic blue pad with something like Menzerna SF4000 would do the trick.
If you are going to do it yourself, make sure you give the panels a really good clean, detox and clay to get rid of any particle contamination to avoid adding more scratches and marring.

As mentioned, if you can't catch your fingernail, it's a scuff and will polish out.
If it does catch then it's a scratch. If they aren't too deep then you can polish them to near invisibility.
If deeper than that you are into the scary world of abrasives and then polishing out.
Down to the colour and things get more complicated.
I've sorted all these sorts of blemishes on my cars over the years. It's quite satisfying to do if you are at all interested in that kind of thing with tons of stuff online about it.
