So I like to think I know how to use a rattle can and some sandpaper. However, I had my first go at refurbishing a wheel today and for the most part it went quite well. However, the wheels have an indentation for the writing that says Team Dynamics but I seem to have filled it in with the paint. Is there any way I can get the writing back without having to shot blast the wheels?

In a word...No.

You must have used an awful lot of paint?? Normally when we paint any surface it has to be perfect as even a small stonechip will still show right through, so to actually fill those letters in is really quite impressive.

You will have to have them dipped or media blasted to remove all the paint and start again if you want the writing back.

What if you dobbed paint stripper into the affected area, cleaned it up, and then refinished the lot again?

In my defence the factory finish was a tad dodgy with the upper team dynamics script sitting flush against the rim, but yeah, I probably have gone to town with the paint a tad!

I'll give the paint stripper a shot and if not, off to the shot blasters. Thanks guys
