It suddenly worries you when moss starts growing ????? Your washing regime must be bad!
Depending how bad it is - tooth brush, nail brush, scrubbing brush, broom.

My old Rover 416GSi was used for parking at the station, fishing trips and going to the tip. It was washed on an annual basis. A stiff broom was used on the interior and exterior, I can personally vouch for the effectiveness of a broom for removing moss.

After you've washed and dried the car, wipe the rubbers with a silicon spray [not WD40]. This does two things 1. spruces up the rubbers and stops further surface crud, 2. moss hates silicon and will soon completely disappear.
