Hi all,

Venturing into here for the first time. I'm not really into cleaning cars etc, but I've got something I need to do with my car on Wednesday, and it needs to look shiney and nice for the day. It's just a one day thing, it can go back to looking old and tired the rest of the week! Ideally I'd apply it tomorrow and then be able to leave it a few days.
I know if I sprayed the whole car with, for example, WD40 (don't worry, I'm not) it would make the faded paint red again, the dull blacks deep black and shiney again....that kind of thing. I've seen products in Halfords that seem to suggest they do the same kind of job, only purpose designed. Can anybody recommend something?

Basically a product I can cover an entire car with and make it look as good as it does wet, only when it's dry laugh

Thanks

I use Meguiars Quik detailer spray to add a bit of extra 'shine' after washing the car, I also find it useful for removing bird crap quickly when I don't want to wash the entire car. Not used it specifically to add shine without first washing the car, but I think it would work if you applied it with the help of a soft cloth. i think it's worth a go, anyway.

Cheers. I've given it a wash, and it was polished last year. Hasn't been outside since so hasn't faded too badly. The paint is bloody awful on it, but I was just hoping to find something that could gloss over it all temporarily. I'll look that stuff up, cheers.

You need something with lots of fillers in. It won't spray on but autoglym Srp will likely give you the best bang per Buck / time put in.

Turtle wash / wax sachet (add to water - no need to polish and leave a bit of shine)

Autoglym bumper care to bring the plastic bits back to life.

Tyre dressing - matt finish.

Job jobbed for a quick makeover.

Ps, OP how did it go on and did you get a pic of the before / after for the PH collective? hehe

Got to be worth a try, most of the reviews cant be that wrong. I would definitely try it after a wash though and not dry.
