I'm in the process of finishing my rebuild, new paint and interior last August, before I get it out on the road I'm considering getting it detailed as I've noticed a couple of swirl marks and 'missed bits' on the body. My question is, if I go for a mobile detailer would the job be just as good as taking it to a unit based detailer? I'm not out to offend anyone I just want to understand what's involved with each operation.

Speaking as a detailer with both mobile and unit options available I would have to say that it really depends on the facilities available at the Client's premises.

For more in-depth jobs I far prefer to work in the unit as everything is on-hand and conditions more strictly controlled; versus mobile which - whilst more convenient for the client - there can be an element of compromise. I will personally not take a machine polisher to a car without a suitable indoor space to so do as it only takes a puff of dusty wind to contaminate the panels of the car.

I would happily work in that space following a full appraisal so that we both know precisely the ins, outs and expectations.

Do get in touch if I can assist further.
