Hi folks.

I have a dent on a door of one of our cars caused by a careless woman in a carpark.
I'm aware of PDR but in this case, the paint is scratched.
My question is, is PDR not possible when the paint is damaged or, could the dent be removed leaving me to fix the paint damage myself.

All help appreciated.

Cheers.

No can still be done, but further damage to the paint may occur

should be fine unless the paint is flakey , will be left with the mark to touch in as you wish

If the dent is suitable for PDR & done by a competent professional PDR technician further damage to the paint is very unlikely.
No idea where you are, but for the Leicester/East Midlands area I suggest Dent Brothers and Dent Technique. I've recommended them to a lot of my customers over the past 14 odd years & no complaints. Seen quite a few of their before & afters (or perhaps I should say I haven't been able to see the 'afters' smile) & I'd let them loose on our own cars.

IIRC Dent Bros are in the phone book, I don't think they have a website.

Thanks folks. I was just worried that the dent couldn't be removed if the paint is scratched.
Seems I have nothing to worry about other than getting the touch up right.

Cheers.
