I recently got a Fabia vRS, with a gleaming white roof & Skoda decals. I think the Red Kites are using the logo as target practice.
Spent this lunchtime carefully removing 3 days worth of crap, was all fine until I spotted one seems to have left a minor yellow stain. Any tips chaps??

I use Poorboys Bird st Remover. I would recommend keeping a bottle of that and a cloth in your car, and using it as soon as you notice it.

I carry a microfibre cloth and mini spray bottle of quick detail spray for exactly this.

Bird poo eats into the paint.

I keep a pack of these in the glove box - http://www.autoglym.com/products/products/bird-dro...

Apply the wipe, let is soak in a little and it seems to remove the dropping without paint damage.

Will that remove the stain?

If only there were a separate sub-forum for cleaning cars, amongst the myriad of sub-forums, where cleaning geeks could bore each other senseless.

I use anti-bac wipes as soon as I notice bird droppings. Does the job in 2 mins.

If at home, warm water soaked microfibre left on for 10 mins then chuck or wash depending on degree of disgustingness.

I've got it all off OK (Baby wipes, plus foam spray) but it's the stain that's left which worries me

Can you put a pic of the stain up

Is it on the decal or the paint, or is it a wrapped roof, if the latter probably nothing you can do

If it's on the paint might be worth trying to clay the area and then using a fine cut polish work the area and then seal and wax accordingly and that may work

I used showroom shine when I first got the VW Polo (Silver) and cleaned some bird poo using more Showroom Shine - seems to have done a good job....
