I gave the E320 a quick clean up yesterday afternoon.

The car was previously polished by hand with some Autoglym Super Resin Polish (no correction just a nice shine) and then followed it up with two coats of Collinite 845.

Yesterday I just pre-washed it with some Valet Pro Citrus pre-wash, washed with two buckets, Dodo Juice Born to be Mild shampoo and microfibre mitt. Prior to drying I gave the car a spray with some Gyeon Wetcoat to top up the Collinite and dried with the usual microfibre drying towels. Even with the paintwork beading from the wax, Wetcoat still repels the water more, makes drying a lot easier!

Glass was just given a clean with some Rain-X glass cleaner and job done.

Gave the engine bay a quick clean up as well, just a microfibre and Autoglym Rubber & Vinyl Care. Easy but looks good.

Although the bodywork hasn't been machined yet, the sun hitting it today was indicative that it's looking better than the average 104k car.

Nice job - you have put a lot of effort to clean the car. I used Collinite on the wheels rather than the bodywork.

I have polished and sealed my car many times (e.g. with black ice and it is garaged)..but after even a brief shower, the rain leaves spots on the car, meaning I have to get the polish out again to get rid of the watermarks...

Do you get the same issue?

I can't say I find water spots too bad although I tend to find it more of a pain on the glass if I'm washing and the water dries too quickly. Then again silver is probably quite a forgiving colour for this but I can't say I notice.

Collinite would be good on wheels, I just like it for it's longevity more than anything. I'm a huge fan of Gyeon Wetcoat for topping up the protection.
