Doesn't anyone use Virosol anymore? When I had a decent car that was worth cleaning, it's what I used. Did a cracking job.

That polishedbliss site is constantly out of stock of stuff so I've given up on them and bought from Amazon :

Auto Finesse IO500 Iron Out Remover eek
Auto Finesse OB500 Oblitarate eek
Do you use the tar one first or the iron one, or the other way round? scratchchin

The geyeon Ines I use suggest tar first.

I finally got round to doing the wheels on my BMW daily driver last week, leaving them fitted to the car though.

This is the only picture I have, but the front wheels in particular were coated in baked on brake dust. They probably could have done with another coat of fall out remover and a clay bar, but didn't bother as it is just my daily.

Avoid Bilt Hamber auto-wheel cleaner. Not only does it stink, it's absolutely rubbish. I scrubbed for ages and still had baked on brake dust on the inside edge (yeah, I removed the wheels to clean them).
I then bought some old school Wonder Wheels and it shifted what Bilt Hamber couldn't very quickly.

After getting the baked on stuff shifted, I keep them clean with Astonish alloy wheel cleaner. £1 from the pound stores and it does the job just fine.

Has always worked well for me. Are you mixing the concentration as per the instructions?

Mix?
I've been spaying it straight on.
It cleans my wheels, black with brake dust very well and with minimum effort.
