Hi chaps, anyone used these products and could give their opinion ? There are good reviews on UK Clean Your Car.

I'm currently using Meguiars Pro 21 sealant 3 times per year, with excellent results, but the wash/clay/wash/dry/pad applicator is a real chore. By the time it's ready to apply the sealant, it's late morning and far from 'best applied to a cool surface'.

Got a K2 pressure washer with snow foam routine anyway so I've got the kit to apply these Hydro products.

Doesn't last as long as is claimed.

If you are looking for a quick application protection product Gyeon CanCoat would be my recommendation - 5 mins on an average size car and you'll be done and dusted.

cheers

TAC systems Water Glass, its what all the other versions are based on and cheaper too. I get months of durability out of it. Though I'm in NZ and our weather offers different problems than UK weather.

I gave the ready mixed Hydro Lite sealant a bash last Monday morning and I'm pretty impressed. Time will tell what the durability is like.

The car has been through 5 cycles of sealing with Meguairs 21 (last time in April), having been properly prepared beforehand with wash/clay/wash/dry routine each time, so was at a good start point.

I used a clay mitt this time and it's taken off what little contaminants were on the paintwork easily. Combined with the spray on sealant, the whole process took only 75 mins.

1) Light pressure rinse with K2 Pressure Washer
2) Valet Pro snow foam application
3) Light pressure rinse off after 5 mins

Then working in 4 stages - roof, rear, front, sides :-

4) Meguairs NXT shampoo using lambswool mitt
5) Claymitt with light pressure using the shampoo as lube
6) Shampoo again then low pressure rinse
7) Spray on Hydro Lite onto wet surface
8) Agitate with strong pressure immediately to form hydrophobic seal
9) Dry any residual water with miracle towel and micro fibre to finish.

I usually finish with Zaino Z8 but it was already getting too warm at 9am to apply. It's on a par with the glassy finish that Meguiars 21 gives and the water beading is even better.

It's had a first wash since application this teatime finished with Z8 and looking fabsmile
