Wrapping bonnet
Discussion
Hi all
My wife has a 2004 Mini Cooper and the lacquer on the bonnet is peeling in a number of places. Could this be successfully wrapped rather than painted or would the parts where the lacquer has peeled be visible on the wrap surface? With wrapping could we still have it 2 colour (red / white stripe)?
Any idea of comparative costs.
Thanks

Hi, in any circumstance the best thing to do is to fix the peeling before wrapping it as it could end up costing you a lot more in the long run. Even if you use a thick vinyl, you might not notice the peeling, but there's a chance the peeling could still spread and you'll end up redoing the whole thing anyway.
Hope this helps
