5W30 in boot lining....

Hi all,

I have managed to get about 2 liters of clean fully synth oil into the boot liner. The car is a common focus, so I may be able to find a non torn second hand liner somewhere, but was just curious as to if anyone had been able to get oil out of the upholstery?

It is the standard cloth type, fairly thick, hard board across the middle to stop your shopping descending into the spare wheel, only a small amount made it into the wheel arch liners (which I think I have mopped up enough)

On the plus side my spare wont rust!

(to keep up with the detailing part of the thread, a lamb mit, clay bar kit and some hard Collinite 476 wax is sitting under the tree for me!)

I made the same mistake in my old MX-5, it did leave me scratching my head for a while as to why it was leaking oil from the back corner...

I think I just removed the carpet and jetwashed it. Unfortunately it didn't stop the car from rusting away.
