Hello folks,

Can anyone recommend a decent snow foam attachment for a normal garden hose, or are they simply not worth considering?

For the few times I wash my car I want to avoid a full on pressure washer setup ideally!

Any advice is appreciated biggrin

I don't know about one for a garden hose but you can get snow foam bottles that work by hand pumping them up to pressure and then operating with a trigger

Thanks, I'd not thought of that....I think I may be barking up the wrong tree with one that goes on a hose anyway, as they don't seem to foam up, more just water the car with a little foam included.

I didn't realise how cheap/small some of the Karcher pressure washers were, so maybe that would be the best option after all:

This is what you're after although currently out of stock. I have one & use it when its cold &/or I can't be arsed to get the whole pressure washer ensemble out.

Cheers Winky, at that price I may as well give it a shot and see how it does.

Nice one Big Al, you could be a personal shopper. Reading the reviews on the K2 they appear to be a bit delicate, so I'd probably stump for a K4 if the above doesn't fit the bill thumbup

This is what I use when I don't want to get the full pressure washer kit out.

+1

This has been surprisingly effective for me, gets a good layer of foam on the car, although the pressure doesn't last that long, so you need to re-pump 5 or 6 times to do the whole car

I've used one of these, it works really well. Plugs straight into your garden hose. Doesn't last especially long though...but once you've finished the product it comes with, I guess you could mix up your own and carry on using the applicator!

Refill with this when it runs out, 1/4 of the price of buying a new bottle and is actually the exact same stuff without the demon brand.

That's what I've been doing for 2 years anyways! biggrin

Look at Nilfisk pressure washers - I've got a titan c-120. Regularly on offer I hink Inpaod £70 from Argos. Generally get better reviews than Karcher. Snowfoam bottle from eBay <£20 and Im using avalanche foam.

I recently bought one of these, and it seems to work ok, apart from the need to keep pumping it up. And if you put too much snow foam concentrate in it comes out like "silly string".

Auto foam is a great product, probably the most effective snow foam i have tried, it wont be the foamiest through a pump sprayer but you should still get good results.
