Mr Fermit, can you recommend a product for smooth matt leather, I want to avoid shining it!
TIA.

I use LTT Deep Clean, that is a trade product, but they will do similar if not the same for the public under another name. I've also used Furniture Clinics, and found it pretty good. Removing the product with white kitchen roll also tells you when you're done removing muck.

I am, but it seems he's sorted it. There is a solution for pretty much any type of stain, but for anyone reading be very mindful of using either babywipes or thinners, both can do serious damage to the leather finish.
Baby wipes work on pretty much any stain which makes you wonder WTF is actually in them…eek

Cocamidopropyl betaine, citric acid and other powerful synthetic detergents and surfactants, propylene glycol, sodium benzoate and other anti-fungal preservatives which can include formaldehyde , according to google. Anti bacterial wet-wipes are often are alcohol based and often contain sodium hypochlorite.

Well st, did not know that about baby wipes. Explains what happened to the armrest in my Chimaera though.
People mistake them as being gentle, but think about what they're designed to break down.... hurl
Glad I stumbled across this thread. With a baby in the house, wipes are everywhere, I could well have ended up grabbing one.
