I remember looking at a BMW 318i a few years back.

Number plate?

No. No I don't envy your automatic 4 pot sedan with oversized chrome wheels.

Have seen, just this morning, GABES on a E36 convertible. Not necessarily bad in itself, but the fact the car was resprayed baby pink probably means GABE is short for Gabrielle, rather than Gabriel. But that's just a guess...

AM DBS convertible I saw on George St the other week had the plate POZEST. I'll just leave that there.

There is a girl driving round in a new Impreza STI with 'WESTY' .. Her name might be West.

I saw a beautiful 68 red Mustang at the tyre shop the other day, with HOT 40 numberplate.

When I asked the fitter about it, he said he didn't know much about the car, but she sure was.

Plenty of bogan plates up here in the NT, but a few funny ones too.
There's a couple of old bombs knocking around with the plates NO REGO and REGO NO.

Not surprisingly I managed to get GINETTA for the Ginetta for the princely sum of $50 a few years ago, but I might have to change it as I'm sick of uneducated people asking me if that's my wife's name!

I am expecting that with the 911 - 'CARRERA', the standards of education and spelling up here means they will probably think I am a nurse.

When I lived in Perth there was a guy I knew who had "Adam1".

As my name is Adam I asked why he had it - he was from the UAE and his house was full of the typical gold bling that is popular among his country folk - and his name was Uradanie or something. He said "Adam, first person in the world and number 1. It's the best!" fair enough.

He didn't want to sell. frown

Is a standard Aussie plate related to the age of the car? I've been trying to see a pattern but the look to be random.

Nope, in WA they used to be yellow and black .. now they are blue and white.

They start at 1 AAA 111 and just keep rolling.

If you re-register you get a new plate, nothing age related.

Think we are at the top end of the 1 D** *** set now.
