I have a Skype video interview at 7AM Saturday morning as I'm not sure what to wear. Its for a "middle management" type role within an engineering company and I've already had a long phone interview a few days ago.
However, they've requested a Skype video meeting with their external HR advisor and the MD.
So what should I wear? They'll know it's 6AM on a Saturday morning for me and whilst I'm not going to sit there in my boxers and a T-Shirt, do I need to put on a shirt and tie? Or are ties seen as old fashioned?

Seeing as they are Australian the only course of action is to sit there in a t-shirt, shorts and with a can of fosters. They will love you.

It won't do you any harm.
I'm a powerfully built company director. The only time I have worn a tie is for job interviews and when I do expert witness work in court.

I am about the only person who wears a tie in the office but get mistaken for my boss (who is a pom and does not wear a tie !). Shirt and trousers is the accepted 'professional' workwear. Suit jacket and open neck shirt in the office during winter (now) is also seen.

Sorry for the late reply.
I was always wearing one for my interviews, but since I'm now employed I've not worn one since.
Fridays in Perth CBD seems to be casual day for most people too (as they tend to kick on to the bars from about 4pm onwards).
