Imagine an Aussie had caused you grave insult, and you wish to cause him upset by the written word, how best to insult a former Queenslander?
The sort of insult which, repeated in normal company, would rightfully earn you a bloody nose, but which, behind a keyboard, would still cause a sharp intake of breath?

i came here as a kid with my parents in 1949 who warned mr that I would be called "bloody pom" "pommy bd" etc and to ignoreit....which I did. I have now been here 67 years so consider myself an Aussie but remember once in high school schol being taunted by a kid with red hair about being a pom....to which I replied "with hair like that you must be Irish......he went berserk.....baybe that is the supreme insult to an Aussie......being called Irish!!!!!!

I was going to mention that, but didn't want to think about it.

I worked at a company for 5 years who had that pic blown up massive in one of the meeting rooms. I saw it every day. (They were a sponsor, so had the company name in the background)

(and agreed on the *rse kit).
