With this thread in mind I took a walk at lunch time to the car yard up the road.

They have a Lexus LS for $6999 which in the UK would be less than a grand. It was complete with shiny chrome "racng" wheels and silly seat covers. It really was horrendous.

Most of them are like that these days frown but there are nice ones about.

I'd love to run a "barge" here but the sums just dont add up like they do in the UK.

No- not really unless your on the south coast, the engines last a hell of a lot longer too- i think the combo of cleaner air, slower pace of life really seems to help. The thing I notice is the interior is the first thing to go usually.
