Strangely alluring. For hacking up and down the freeway every day it must be a pretty pleasant place to be.

2007 Volvo S80 V8 - 110k kms, $17k.

What are the thoughts? engine made of chocolate and dynamics from the 70's?
Oh.

I wasn't aware of the existence of these.

Looking at e60 5 series as a work car. This is a nice alternative.

For the time when I finally cave in and get a big car for the mob, an XC90 with that engine is top of the list. Wont be any point worrying about dynamics at that point, so get a comfy package with a nice engine.

Currently looking for the UK car still.

GOt a serious hard on for this BMW 335i touring manual.

Everything looks very cheap all of a sudden!

More likely to end up with a 2.5 Turbo Forester though. Ugly as sin, but a Legacy won't fit on our drive and the Mrs likes Foresters.....

'Dreaming' of a Forester. Shoot me now.
If you could get 7 yr old 335's here for $16k you sure wouldn't have a forester! Do it, bet you it's a nicer drive than the forester.

Not terribly exciting, but for daily driving stuff, I've got a real hankering to get a late-07 Forester XT in the best condition I can find...

I think the F type interior is essentially borrowed from the new Corvette hence it looks a bit underwhelming.
A good friend of mine has brought the new corvette. Apart from the buttress thingy inside it's quite different when you're in it.

I actually think the 'vette is better. The graphics, Sat Nav and ICE are better and there's more options (naturally) like an App that controls and shows the status of the car remotely.

However the materials in the F-Type are much better and the detailing is nicer.

To drive, the 'vette wins but strangely doesn't sound as good. Well, different anyhow. That said my mate wouldn't let me thrash it as it was brand new.

Oh, it's got four tailpipes and mine has two, which according to my 7 year old son means mine is slightly rubbish and the Corvette is the fastest car in the world frown

I'll be shortly looking out for a light'ish 2+2 with a manual box for handling fun on minor roads, so predictably this has caught my attention...

http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Mercedes...

...not helped by the fact that I really do like the colour and it is only about 3 streets away from me and I see it every day biggrin

In more-realistic news, this also looks like a bit of fun...

And CTS have another 80s great in store, this time with a slightly more sensible price tag...
