New Hilux out now. Upped specs over the old one. Shame they didn't do anything to the 4.0 V6 option (same engine as before). Needs a blower as standard in my opinion.
Ranger still looks better IMHO

I'd go a Raptor, but not a Ranger.

Weird one.

UK plated Aston for sale at Grays online in Melbourne

Tax expired on 19th July 2014, last MOT'd on the 20th November 2012 with 50,293 miles on the clock.

Now for sale in Aus with 52,664 miles on the clock but a km/h speedo, so was ADR complianced in December 2014 but never registered?

Currently only at $17,409. Anyone feeling brave?

That Alfas lovely and looks well maintained. I wonder if the service he's just done has picked up a major issue and he wants rid...

Disclaimer: I love Alfas (not the current stuff) and have had 2 and would have another...

Its gotta be tough selling an Alfa in Aus... I know a good mech to keep one going but don't want to be stuck with it forever...

I'm playing the "less than $10k and within 100km of the house" game on Carsales. Fortunately it isn't eBay and I haven't been drinking smile

V12 Jaaaag with a leaky rear seal anyone?

http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Jaguar-X...

No? How about a later 6 cylinder in a wonderful shade of green?

http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Jaguar-X...

If those are too boring you could always go and see Marko and have a look at his shaggin' wagon. I really want to, simply because of the wonderfully written ad which includes the line "Change all filters, points, oils, clean tank and car become legend". For $8k with a RWC this has got the be a bargain, plus you get to meet Marko and find out if he talks the way he types.

That red XJR in the background may have been viewed by me a few times.

Different game this evening: $20k max and I don't care how far away it is, which is just as well because none of these are in Vic.

For some reason I found myself looking at Rovers. Proper Rovers, none of the FWD 4 cylinder crap.

How about a P5B sedan?

http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Rover-3...

Or even better, a coupe (downside is it is in Perth, although the drive back to Melbourne would be fun).

http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Rover-35...

I quite like P6s too, and NADA spec ones are the mutts nuts.

Car shopping time.

25-40k budget.

1) BMW 6 series. Either 645 or 650. Around 04-06
2) Audi A5 manual, 2010ish
3) BMW 335i, manual, 2007ish
4) BMW 328i, auto, first of the F30 series so 2012
5) 2012 VW Sirocco R.
6) 2014ish Alfa Giuletta QV manual

My driving is mainly long distance now. Once a week freeway for an hour each way, and then drive in the country on weekends or for work, plus a weekly shopping trip.

Wouldn't you want something very wafty?

In any case, here's where my money would go: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Lexus-I...

Discreet, quick, cheap to run (aka it shouldn't break and you know it will never leave you stranded...)

Also, just because: http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Maserati...biggrin

Wafty doesn't appeal to me that much. I'm doing that driving in a Citroen DS3 at a moment.

That Maserati and a Saab 9-3 wagon for dog/home duties is massively appealing.

Not the Alfa - love them but it's a $20k car with a nice engine and set up.

The 6 would be lovely and wafty.

Have to go with the 335 myself but apparently the 328 can be tuned to 290 relatively easy.

biggrin

Anyway, of the list, I'd go for the 335 (had to correct the typo - did write 355, which I think is out of the budget...)
