What about the ridiculous price gouging by everybody including dealers and private sellers?
Not sure what dealers are up to as I haven't seen any main listings over but mine did it at list and no way would I have paid over.

Have seen the private sales - I don't have an issue with it because if it a buyer is prepared to pay over then that's up to them.

A new PHAus addition to the fold will be landing on these fine shores, probably in May. 460 of your big block cubic inches and without a doubt the slowest car in our little corner of PH.

I'll likely start a new thread for it closer to the time, but it qualifies for this thread too as I'm getting bloody excited about it bandit

Need to start looking for a hanger to rent.
So you're the rich local land owner who's got everyone scared? You wait till 2 good old
Local boys start scuppering your plans.

Good mate of mine had a E28 M535i - upgraded it to a euro spec motor. The handling in the wet on the TRX tyres was "interesting" to say the least. Needless to say the wheels were put away in storage and replaced by a good set of 16 inch BBS Style 5s which were period for the car...

Is it wrong to have a hankering for a luxobarge E39 530i at the moment?
My current daily is an E39 528 with M suspension. I adore it and if it wasn't now time for me to get a new car I'd have another in a heartbeat. It's just 'proper'. Every component feels engineered to an inch of its life.

Do it. Mine is 16 yrs old with 200,000kms and just doesn't feel it.

I have a RS Focus on order and it has arrived at dealers and awaiting PD and Registration. Delivery to me 21/06/16. Ordered Early January, got this one that was to have been the dealer demo. Now seems new orders unlikely to be arriving before end of 2017, but indications are 2018 more likely.
Did you get your car? How are you enjoying it?

My FRS should arrive at my dealer this morning so I'm heading off to wait for that first thing!

Mine is nitrous blue. It's getting Opticoat over the weekend and I'll collect it on Monday. I can't wait!
Pics and driving impressions welcome!

So I ignored the bit about getting a 4WD and just put a deposit down on a demo Skoda Octavia RS wagon.

Very. Very. Very. Good.

I picked it up in Port Mac at around midday on Saturday and went straight back to Newcastle. About 3 hours behind the wheel. Such a nice car to drive long distances in.

First auto car I've owned because I'm getting lazy, and the dsg is good for an auto. Not as smooth as the 8spd in the 5 series I had in the UK as a rental, but still good.

Very well planted car. Stable as hell and has decent steering feel if a little bit lacking in feedback.

It's a demo (actually the dealer principals car who now has a M2) and had the tech pack (upgraded sound, parking assist, lane assist), the comfort pack (leather electric seats and folding mirrors), black pack with 19 inch wheels (black trim instead of chrome) and electric boot fitted, so all options except for sunroof which I didn't want. The seats are so comfortable.

Probably the best all round car I've owned. Very happy.
beer

Fantastic - great to read smile

Been looking at older European V8's for a while and ended up picking this up last week - 2008 W164 ML500 with AMG style pack and the 5.5 V8 lump in it.

However it'll be taking a trip back to get the power steering looked at as its crazy heavy at low speed and reversing.
Nice!

What it's like to drive?

Also what are Barbagallo's like to deal with?
