I live on the peninsular, you may have heard/seen me as I was blatting around Newport and Palmie Saturday and Sunday. Also think I got done in Mona Vale by one of those sneaking little camera utes

I'm also an Insularite! Was out around Akuna, Church Point and MV on the bike on Sunday morning - lots of people trying to have a drive amongst a couple of thousand cyclists. Didn't get as far as Newport. Only car of note was an AMG C-class Merc of some sort that looked a bit touring-car'ish - overtook an entire peloton at the bottom of McCarrs Creek and made a racket doing so. Was concentrating too hard and going the other way to get a proper look.

Didn't see any camera dudes anywhere, but with 2 Leg Power was unlikely to set them off.

I stay well away from McCarrs Creek and National Park on the weekend.... too much Tour De France stuff going on. Although some of the ladies do look quite tasty in the bike shorts
