Handed in my notice and leave here on the 17th Oct.

Should be arriving in Perth on the 10th November on a 1 year WHV. I will be using the Working part loosely and the Holiday part extensively with the missus.

Need to get ourselves a 6 month rental. Will they want 6 months up front? Will be moving around the Scarborough area and then travelling for the second half of the trip.

See you lot soon smile

Well done!

Rental typically is 4 weeks bond and 2 weeks in advance kind of thing.

Plans plans...... Good question haha.

We aren't really to sure to be honest. We have sort of ran out of things to do here in Perth now, been here about 3 weeks. We need to start working but that doesn't seen easy if you want a skilled job. Plenty of resteraunt, bar, door to door jobs for people on our visas but a bit more difficult for skilled. My partner is struggling a lot, she has done a degree in journalism and wants to stay in the media field if possible.

We are hoping to stay in Perth for 6-8 months, work, save up as much as possible, then set of on a adventure, I'd love to drive a full lap of Australia but that might be a bit much!

How about you guys what your plans? smile

Rego - about $400 a year on that I think. Have to pay a fee when you buy a car too, 2.75% of the price you pay for the car.

What car you thinking of getting? Our 2001 liberty on 220,000 kilometres cost $2,900 and that was incredibly cheap! Car prices are not good here frown

Have you been down to albany or exmouth? Nice down there for a few days and should be able to get a cheap holiday let. Did that last year although wrote of the rental RAV4 I had with a Roo.

Have you done your RSA? Paid £5.50 for my certificate doing it online. Can send you the link if you like.

Fingers crossed I will be there last week oct / first week nov. Staying with a friend for a few months and looking to get a 6 month rental close to the beach. The like yourself a mini adventure.

I'll start looking for work in Jan, 2 months off for me doing sod all on cottesloe beach.
