Soon to be returned better than ever. I fancy a run to Newcastle but the only folk I know from there are bogans. Anyone got any ideas?
Matt, happy to return the favour.
Currently boozing in the Rocks after a Manly ferry jaunt. Happy, happy extra long weekend days.

Dunno. I'll ask around and find some sophisticated, long haired lefty layabout types for ya. Soon to be returned better than ever. I fancy a run to Newcastle but the only folk I know from there are bogans. Anyone got any ideas?

Always have a spare bed, and if you bring the Porsche I'll donate my garage to it.

Loads. New clutch master cylinder being the main thing. Oil leak turned out to be a power steering hose, 'low oil pressure' a dodgy sensor, throttle cables, battery, ABS sensors, tyres, rego and a stload of other little/preventative/improvement things. Should be substantially better than when I bought it.Currently on the lookout for some correct offset 17" Cup 1 (or 2) wheels if anyone knows of any.

How's the F Type Rob?
Pretty good actually. It's the middle of the range V6S. Not as fast as some of my previous machines but perfect for Sydney.I'm still taking it daily from Northern Beaches to Western Suburbs, it is still the keys I grab in the morning.
But good points are boring so here's the bad ones:
Boot is ridiculously small, why did they bother putting a spare wheel in there?
Take wheel out, replace with inflation foam kit and there's room for 5 x 100kg bags of salt (as per the requirement for my pool).
It's over-tyred at the rear, I suspect this is a marketing thing because in the dry it has too much grip and in the wet it's a handful. If you read the Long Termer reviews in Evo and Top Gear magazines they all talk about it's lack of grip in the wet but none pinpoint the actual issue (tyres too wide I believe).
Lastly it's over-weight, despite being alloy it's 1,650kg which when I look at my solid girder chassis Defender at 1,840kg, I do wonder where all that additional weight is..
Although I suspect it'll last longer the Defender and it is better made.
Overall, lots of fun. When is the next PH get together in Sydney/Wisemans Ferry run and I'll bring it along.
