Oh dear, my Jaguar itch keeps growing and I've spotted a '95 XJR. The 6 hasn't missed a beat, though the turbo seals need doing at some point. It does everything I could want brilliantly, and reliability is important to me in a daily driver.

And now I'm thinking of having a 2 car fleet of 20 year old Jag and 28 year old Porsche... Oh and an old bike of some sort.

What could go wrong? stloads.

Plenty!

Also, spares would be a concern here. If something does go bang/wrong - there would be leadtimes from having the parts come from the other side of the world! That said, I have always wanted a Jag...

...is a very sensible answer. However, compared to the batst crazy idea of running a 20-y-o Jag over here alongside a 28-y-o 928, surely can't be in the same league as Bot's requirements... biggrin I'm not a Jag fan, but an XJR is one of the few I would consider.

How about an A8 with the 4.2 V8? Or an E55 AMG? Or, possibly sensibly, an E60 545? Away from Germany, 156 GTA in budget? There are other, perhaps more helpful suggestions, but none that really capture the same spirit of bravery!

Surely none of the last choices can be had for $10k. I'd certainly have them over a 530!

and then read "4 cylinder Diesel Turbo Intercooled 2.2L" and fell asleep.
