Roadside Assistance - Any advice?

I'm looking at buying decent roadside cover, but I'm not sure who to go for... Compare the market have come up with some options around $100 for the year but are there any firms who are better/worse than the rest?
I have a 2007 Navara and often drive out into the country to go biking so would need decent cover to get me back or allow me to stay over whilst the car is sorted...
RACV seem expensive for what they offer, but 365 roadside assistance seem good.
Any opinions?

in Tasmanian RACT (not the T not the v) cover the driver, so it doesn't matter what car you are in, they come out and fix it.

A friend of mine used to work as the dispatch centre manager for one of the larger state based royal auto clubs, most of the companies all seem to use the local Royal Auto Club (state) patrol men, the only difference is that when you ring up from your nominated 1300 number, the call centre worker at the dispatch office gets a short message played along with the ring tone to say weather you RACV/RACT/NMRA....Mazda Road side assistance....HSV Road Side assistance.......
It will be the same local guy irrespective of who you are with that turns up to fix your car, especially if you are out in the sticks.
Some of the companies do have special clauses in there policies though, things like the Mercedes road side assistance stipulates that if the car has to be towed it needs to go in an unmarked fully enclosed transporter. Ie when was the last time you saw a merc being towed for repair on a flat bed. All part of maintaining brand image.
also, you would be annoyed if you turned up at the pub/club the following arvo and everyone started asking why your car had broken down........err i forgot to check the oil/crashed into a keep left sign....all because they had seen it disgracing itself/yourself on the back of a truck. (not that I have done the former)

You're right about the roadside assist - it is a consortium of the auto clubs that provide it to the manufacturers (although there are other providers that aren't as big)
A mate of mine went from Vic to FNQ - they took their motorbikes by trailer to Cairns and rode north from there. The trailer shat itself someplace remote in NSW but their RACV cover got them a hire trailer (that they could drop off in Cairns). While they were off on their bike trip their trailer got repaired. They also had a broken bike (electrical problems) when they came back - it got all the way from FNQ to Vic courtesy of RACV.
