Looking at paying a visit with the family.

Kids are all adult prices now.

Coming up at about $2300 each on Skyscanner.

Anyone with any other options?

Wonder can I book using Flightcentre in the UK but depart from Brisbane.

Flights from memory, seemed to be a lot cheaper in the UK.

You could try last minute if you were flexible. Cheaper that way but a slight risk. We fly Singapore Air to London, I hear flights are more expensive back to the UK.

On that note, does anyone purposefully collect air miles/ points for trips back via a Qanrus credit card or by similar means?

Try this! I've got nearly enough for a business flight to UK without spending a dollar

About 2 months;) Thanks to all those people that don't pay their CC in full, I should be about 60K points short of a return business class flight on points.

I've basically applied for every credit cards that was giving away points for free or for a small joining fee (under $100). In a few months time when the points arrive in my frequent flyer account, I can cancel most of the cards. Wait 12 months or there and about as there are qualifying conditions and apply for any 'Specials' deals again.

I have stopped applying for CC for now as I've probably got too many cards and likely to get bad credit rating if I apply for more. I know people with over 1/2M point from doing this over a couple of years.
