Really like that.

Do many people pay any attention to it?

What's it like as a daily driver - does it just want to go all the time?

If it was auto I'd be tempted but happy to be waiting on its big American cousin.

I have one of these as well in "Magnetic" colour. Around 1200 kms on it at present, it was I believe one of the first approx. 20 cars landed in Victoria. It really does live up to the hype we have had for the past 6 mths, very direct and responsive in the steering, it reminds me a lot of a Lotus 7 clubman, drive it with a very light touch and grip on the wheel otherwise you will wander all over the place. Can't give an opinion about grip and so forth, the roads up here have either been wet or have had snow on them pretty much all the time I have had the car, however it corners as flat as a tack, so expecting grip levels to be right on the money. Drove an A45 Merc and BMW M135 I before placing the order for this, I consider myself to have " chosen wisely" to pinch a line from Monty Pythons search for the Holy grail. Engine wise, very smooth , unbelievably flexible at low RPM, and ( ahem) does go rather well. Ride is much softer than the road testers would have you believe in normal mode, sport and track are positively insane for road use in the country area very average roads where I live , my wife thinks the shell seats are quite comfortable for a long trip, I don't think they are set too high like the "experts" have all moaned about. Do you get noticed in it?. Nope, just looks like a Focus in the car park like every other one , EXCEPT when anywhere near an Autobarn, Supercheap or similar when the P Platers behind the counter abandon their posts and stand around it slobbering and drooling all over it LOL, and yes mate it goes well, no mate I haven't tried drift mode, probably will do 4 wheel burnouts I suppose. Is it yours? When answered yes they seem surprised that a 65 year old and his wife would own such a thing. At least the price tag, lack of availability and insurance cost will keep these wkers off the road for a while hopefully. Fuel use is going to be on the heavy side I reckon, other turbo cars I have owned were similar in this regard, but if driven like granny would drive it would seem to get near 30mpg, (note mpg because that's what makes sense to me) or whatever that was in whatevers /kms before I converted it so I could make sense of it. Having many arguments with the ignorant woman hiding in my Sync screen on the dashboard who thinks my shouted orders are wrong most of the time, but at least I now have the radio and cd player working and I can navigate my way with the satnav down my 200 metre driveway and the climate control has finally succumbed to me jabbing the touch screen with my finger, maybe the woman hiding in there thought better of her previous attitude.

I always forget to look back to the Aussie forum frown

Yes plenty folk are having a look when I'm out and about. Not done too many km, 650 maybe now.

The more I drive it the more I love it. It's very happy in traffic or on the open road and can be driven slowly or fast. It's everything I imagined and more. The colour is spectacular and I'm so glad I chose blue. I've seen magnetic and IMO it's not flash enough for the car. Perhaps forged wheels would improve it but the one I saw was standard wheels in silver. really dislike the standard wheels :'(

I'm running it in of sorts but have opened it up a few times right through the revs and gears. Pre-500 km I said 1st and 2nd felt pretty slow and then 3rd opened right up. Now I'm sure 2nd seems to have more go about it. I reckon these things are limited somehow on km driven. I have read something similar but not checked it out properly. I might have to go and read the forums...
