Not sure if anyone can help advise on routes/times, things to do or see along the way.

Thanks

if you are Oz in Jan, then make sure you are in Sydney for Australia Day (26 Jan). Make a beeline for the harbour, try to scam a ride on any sort of vessel that floats and enjoy the day on the water. It will be crowded, chaotic and fun. In the evening they will probably have a fireworks display based around the harbour bridge and Opera house - awesome and noisy consider your young kids!!). Jan is also the Festival of Sydney and there is always loads to do with the kids in the city.

I always enjoy getting the local Ferry from Circular Quay to Manly. 45 minute ride accross the harbour. I never get tired of it and I was born and grew up here. In UK and now feeling homesick after writing this. cryweeping

hi wavey i'm little miss aussiebeanoangel. i'm 8 and my favourite place is Luna Park woohoo(a fun fair) which is on the harbour opposite the Opera House and accessible by train (Milsons Point Station says daddy). It is great fun for kids and grown ups. Taronga Zoo is awesome too. Dad note - get the ferry from Circular Quay
