I've been here 4 years now, never looked back, never would go back ... except to maybe get an Esprit V8 cheap and bring it over, but would be done as a normal import, 'cos I couldn't face living in the UK for a full 12 months again!!! smile

If you haven't worked it out by now, and you've been here twice already, it's not for you!! I knew on my first trip here 12 years ago that I was going to move here permanently, it was only a matter of time and how I was going to get in.

In the end, as PB said, I came on a ETA holiday, got a 457, worked on that for a while, then got my contract management company to sponsor me for PR. There is always a way, you just need to ask the questions ... I found www.britishexpats.com a really helpful site.

Good luck

Oh yes I'll definitely be moving out here one day! I've been to the Central Coast, Manly Beach and Snowy Mountains in the past few weeks, definitely reminds you how stunning parts of this state are!

Well... maybe a little mate. I was in Canberra on Monday too. Surely by now I should be ready to go home to more exciting places rofl

I'd rather chew off my right leg than visit Canberra again! The concept of nightlife hadn't made it to that part of the world when I was last there on business.

Still hasn't from what we saw. The rather loud and lurid yellow EVO 9 I was in drew plenty of annoyed scowls! There were some very attractive ladies around though which was nice thumbup

Public service town, they roll up the footpath and go home at 5pm
