Yeah I think everyone will be heading in from different directions so it would be easier to just meet up at the cook off.

We are looking to get there around 11ish.

well the 40 limit I set somehow turned into nearly 100 invited then prolly 50 or so crashers but we kept them out at the door...

About 10 stayed and have helped me clean up all the broken glass up the street, in the pool yikes as well as vacuuming and mopping the whole house.

Never again...

Are we going to see this appear on one of those 'A current affair' shows about teens organising parties through myspace and ending up on the local news?!?

Shame we didnt make it to the Chilli fest...We managed to miss the main bulk of traffic on Brookton (sp?) highway but sat stationary on the side road they directed people on to. We gave up just after talking to Tim..on the way out the line of traffic was about 3 times as long! I dread to think what it was like inside the festival!!

Okay so lets get something else organised....

Speaking to a guy at work who went (got in about midday), it was down to poor guiding of the cars in and out. when you were stuck there were 150 free parking spaces. The festival was apparently 40% bigger in attendance than last year. After driving for an hour i couldnt be bothered to do anything else.
So whats the next plan then?

Karting or trackday.

If its karts I reckon we should settle for nothing less than the twin engined karts at Barbagello on the full circuit. Single engined put-put hire karts just dont do anything for me!

Something to think about...Last time I looked at the cost of karting at Barbagello it was around $50 for 10 or 15 minutes of driving. Most places are similar prices.

For $60-$80 (depending on numbers) we can get our own session at AHG with instructors. I know not everyone would feel they have the 'right' car but its all fairly low impact stuff and would still be a chuckle.

For a completely different slant there is a shooting range in Belmont that does group bookings: http://www.lonerangers.com.au/index.php

True but shirley they are going to be a bit more exciting than the usual hire karts? Though I guess on a shorter circuit at least the corners would be a bit more exciting.

Has anyone been to the one in Henderson?

Hi Adam,

I'm not sure if you need a good paint tech but i used Colour Tech once for a bumper scrape on my wifes Kia Sorento once. He was good value and did a top job.

He was recommended by Kia as he does Melville Kia's and Honda's main dealer work so can get a perfect colour match.

Try 0408 *******.

Bit of usual hasslegetting him to turn up but when done it was great and he's SOR.
This is the wrong number, the correct one is 0437305251
Could you delete the other no from your post as its a personal no, not a business of any kind smile

Ooh ooh... did that a couple weekends or so ago... Twas great, at least as far as we were complete firearms newbies.
Had a go with a 9 mm gloch or however it's spelt and also with a rifle.
They've got all kinds of guns there, impressive.
It's indoor by the way.
Not the cheapest adrenalin rush type event but I would, again, no question.
It's funny really how much I did enjoy it as I didn't think I was "into" guns.

Karts or trackday jobbie, yep, either, but probably too late for this weekend now.
I've been off email most of the week.

I haven't driven the Warrens Karts at Wanneroo but I agree that the track is prolly too wide for karts to be much fun.
I have driven hire karts at various indoor tracks as well as at Wanneroo (the kart track down the road) and Henderson. They weren't that great (I have raced proper karts in 4 hour enduros at both tracks) but was still good fun driving
