Walking home along Ord St in West Perth on Friday afternoon spotted this:
Then went to my basement garage this morning and there it was :
Appears some guy in my block of units has just bought it.
Dodge Viper ACR. Stripped out interior, full rollcage, kill switches, timer equipment, 345 Kuhmo (i think) rear tyres

Viper ACR
The back of the new Dodge Viper ACR at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. The American Club Racing (ACR) model was introduced in 1999. This model had suspension and engine enhancements focused on maximizing performance in road racing and autocross environments. Horsepower was, by the use of K&N air filters and smooth intake tubes, bumped to 460 hp (370 kW) in these models, while torque increased to 500 lb·ft (678 N·m). Weight was reduced by over 50 pounds (23 kg) by stripping the interior and removing other non-essential items such as the fog lamps (replacing them with brake ducts). The new stiffer, adjustable suspension removed another 14 pounds (6.4 kg) These models, which also have engine and handling modifications, has an "ACR" badge and 20-spoke BBS wheels.
A new ACR was added to the Viper line-up after the 2008 model year. Its upgrades were more drastic than the original, including street-legal racing tires, two-piece brake rotors, adjustable suspension, and significant aerodynamic revision. No engine modifications were made, so power and torque remain at 600 hp (450 kW) and 560 lb·ft (760 N·m) as in the base car. The ACR is street-legal, and is similar to the MOPAR Viper that Dodge displayed at various auto shows. Weight was also decreased by 80 lb (36 kg) by using the "Hardcore Package", without radio, speakers, amplifier, trunk carpet, hood pad or tire-inflator. Its aerodynamic upgrades produce 1000 lbf (4.4 kN) of down-force at 150 mph (240 km/h), or roughly 10 times the downforce the base Viper SRT-10 can produce at the same speed. The interior was upgraded only by the addition of a beacon-tripped lap timer.
The Viper ACR was built alongside the standard SRT-10 at the Conner Avenue plant in Detroit. The aerodynamic components were produced and assembled to the vehicle by Prefix Corporation located in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
All i can say was that its very.fking.cool.

Jebus that is an impressive bit of kit! Slap a PH sticker on it!
I'm willing to bet that has been purchased for Targa West which is on in a week or two.
Apparently a lawyer guy who races Porsches, so i cant afford the court case if he's not happy!I'm willing to bet that has been purchased for Targa West which is on in a week or two.
On a different note that exact Dodge is in Forza 3 and its bloody good!

Somes seroius car and driver combos this year
Steve Jones will be hard to beat but the Gt2 of Jim Richards the R35 of Pete Major, Evo of Troy wilson will all be very close
Intreting to see that there are no VIP Petfoods entrys this year after last years DQ
Paul summers has had some amazing cars over the last few years for targa comps, From what I have been told Barbagello wanted him in one of his cars as Paul is his lawyer and did not like him competeing in the Porchse from his main rival in the performance car market
I remember a Lambo at LF last year for a cage but it got to hard and they went looking for another car
Steve Jones will be hard to beat but the Gt2 of Jim Richards the R35 of Pete Major, Evo of Troy wilson will all be very close

I pass this garage every day. I know the other spotted thread frowns upon dealer pics but meh.
the turnover of awesome cars is amazing at this place. They're not for sale and I don't really understand why they're there as it seems to be some sort of a prestige repair place specialising in old Rollers and Bentleys. I can only assume they do some specialist restoration and have the cars there for a while on completion. Latest additions of Countach & Charger R/T below. Excuse crappy iPhone pics taken from car in traffic.
