Surprised this hasn't been discussed on here.

I saw the eBay advert here:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/302031120254

Then saw the for sale thread here.

http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=525...

Very interesting project, but new asking price puts it into exige V6 territory, which will probably be a better car to own and maintain making this redundant to most potential buyers! Nonetheless, a nice build and kudos to the original builder for starting such a project.

Wonder what the issue was though!

The guy who sold it must have been happy with the £22k or he wouldn't have sold it...

Yup. Might cost another £10k to finish too. It's being advertised in the same state that it was purchased in, it isn't ready.

Why would anyone buy the Ferotus over a V6 Exige though..

From his build thread on SELOC:
"Got it onto the dyno yesterday, and it was initially going well but then broke the gearbox transfer shaft again.

Anyone want to buy it? I'm really struggling with the motivation to finish it now, especially since the part that keeps letting me down is one of the few bits I haven't designed/modified or really got control over (brand new shaft direct from Ferrari!) frownfrown :cry"

Such a shame.
