I was wondering that. Are some of the posters on this thread genuinely believing that the angular black panels are the shape of the actual car???? They're in for a shock when the disguise comes off. biggrin

I'm sure that the 'Eagle' name is just for development.

IIRC the name when released is Lotus Ethos.

I've just rung and cancelled my order. I think the diamond pattern is awfull and don't like the front and rear clamshells or the headlights. The Lotus guys have got this VERY wrong IMO.

It looks nothing like the disguise, it is very attractive without it. The current proto's have space for 2+2 (just), V6 and the camoflage will stay on at 150mph (I know 'cos I've done it). Decent interior space (in front), quality is a major step up and much better seats than the old probax rubbish.
You don't work at MIRA, by any chance?

I think the phrase is, used to work at MIRA.

There's not many people who've done 150mph in the new eagle...

Well, I should think there will be compliance people doing work at Nardo, for instance, or brake testing in Spain (can't remember where), or high-speed runs in the US, and so on. Depending upon how the project is factored, there can be a large number of "transients" who do high-speed work on the cars. So MIRA didn't seem a completely foregone question, but I certainly didn't want to cause discomfort.

If the finished article looks anything like that then it will finish them. that is hideously ugly and they wont sell any. if youre after a 2+2 why buy an eagle when you can get a 2nd hand DB9 or a vanquish 4 same money. However Im pretty sure the front end will look nowt like that.

Not only have you pulled up a post from several weeks ago, but you've done so the day after pictures of the car undisguised were posted on the front page: http://www.pistonheads.com/lotus/default.asp?story...
