Forget it - the car isn't original and quite simply isn't worth that sort of cash - listen to your head man, not your heart!!!
I think this would be a sensible buy myself, it is an original Savage after all.

Hi Graeme, I'm good thanks! You?

That was the Parana Capri, they were from SA IIRC?

Black1, the 1600E wheels were just painted silver and black, the chrome ones are after market, but oh so nice!

The Superlites that are on it now would look ok to period if they were painted silver like the Minilites they are copys of.

Yes, I will have to bring it up. It wont be coming with the chrome rostyle wheels though unfortunately, well, unless I pay extra for them. He wants £750 for them though!

I haven't gone and got it yet.. a touch of cold feet, but I would be silly to pass it up as it will never be worth less than it is now!

Still not sure wether to put money in to the chrome rostyles, he is talking £900, but as has been said before, they make quite a bit on Ebay!

Just a few photos of the car. I will start a 'readers car' thread when I have some better ones!

It's a 3.0 Capri carb. When the last owner got it it had a 4 barrel Holley fitted!

As for identifying a 'real one' who knows, they had unique bits such as footrest next to clutch pedal. but as the cars were all purchased from fords then converted so i doubt any records exist for them.
Lukily I have copies of all the original orders, invoices and letters for this car. I believe Jeff Uren kept very good records!

have you got any real savege badges ?
No, I am hoping to get some replica badges that were going around a few years ago.

I'm still to pick up some original seats that I have been offered for it too.
