I presume the Savages had no tramp bars on the axle then ??
Should have them, as the both the GT & the 1600E had them as standard (only the mega rare GT Estate didn't get the radius arms on the axle)
These you mean?

Agreed on the wheels, Dunlop D1’s would be my choice, as chrome Rostyles are so expensive.

I quite like the graphics, I considered putting them on mine, to break up the silver. I also like the bonnet bulge, it’s a much prettier solution than that scoop on the silver car that sold at auction.

Whip the rear spoiler off, probably not worry about the front one.

We often talk about things not right about cars, but, in isolation, running down the local high st, I bet that looks and sounds great smile

Very nice, needs a couple of badges adding.

Are they 14” wheels?

Good point, I’m considering running a 40 DVA(?) on a standard twin-choke manifold, should be up to the job?

Ah yes, gorgeous car, have seen it at Beaulieu before smile

It’s a Weber 40 DFAV or similar?

Yes it's a 40 DFAV.
I’m intending using the Holley atm as I have it already, but will search around for a DFAV… I’ll grab the jet sizes off you if I do?

Just bought this… could be bored out to 40mm..

Mines still away to have its new loom fitted, which is being a little troublesome, they are practically having to custom make it, as there isn’t a Series 1 loom available off the shelf.

I was offered a Crayford when I bought my Savage, a very well known maroon 2 door.

This one…

12 sounds about right, as most folk would have gone to Race Proved or Superspeed for a V6 conversion.

I smell a rat, as that engine is a later Essex and wouldn't have gone in a Mk2 in 69.
I wouldn’t let it worry me, my Savage had its first replacement engine in the early 70’s.
