These tractors may be too old to be of any interest to anyone however I was so pleased to see an 'old tractor' thread on Pistonheads I felt compelled to post some pics.
In the 1970's my father was obsessed with vintage tractors and travelled all over the UK trying to track down rare pre war tractors....once he had the models he was after he stopped collecting-he hasn't bought any for about 30 years but still has all the ones he bought in the 70's. They are all in working order- occasionally he'll take one out for the day on working vintage days. They are locked away in storage so I can't take any decent pics but here's a token effort of one or two of the rarest -all circa 1917/1918

This is my Grey Fergie TED20 that I bought as a runner in April this year. Now roadworthy and taken for a bit of exercise on the local roads at least once a week.

here's my little SAME Minitauro

I know its a touch rough, especially compared with some of the beauties on here, but it all works. I really wanted a loader but this came up and I liked the unusualness of it - sort of regretting that now as there have been a few teething troubles

We have an International B275 that's been in the family for 40+ yrs, currently a non-runner, are they a viable restoration project?

That looks lovely, or at least it certainly does compared to mine.

I've owned a TED 20 for about 20 years and use it regularly for carting a tipping muck trailer. I love the fact that despite it getting no regular care or attention and just sitting outside in all weathers it always starts and does the job.

People obviously love these old Grey Fergies because in the winter when the leaves are off the hedges my one can be seen from the road and we regularly get people knocking on the door asking if they can buy the scrap tractor because they want to love, cherish and refurbish it. They are usually quite shocked when my wife tells them that it is used on an almost weekly basis because they see it's got the most marvellous crop of lichen growing all over it and assume it hasn't moved for years.

After years of promising myself I would buy one (Harry Ferguson didn't live far away from me) I've just recently brought a little grey Fergie home for restoration.
