Does anyone else come across a picture of their car whilst browsing the web? It's normally one I've taken and posted on some forum, but today I found this one: smile

I`ve often seen my classic on Google Images and its the one I posted on Pistonheads or what ever.Surely if a company is marketing prints of YOUR car using one of YOUR images there must be a copyright issue???

It's since dissapeared, but I don't think there would be any copyright issues as they had just come along and taken a picture of it then offered it as a print. Wasn't one of my images.

I didn't have a problem with it, but it would have been nice if they'd popped something through the letterbox or just asked as they were a local company on closer inspection.

This always turns up when I look for others like mine.

This was when the previous owner used it in the USA. It was nice to find as he did not provide any photos of it being raced by him at the time, when we bought it.

Wait 'til you come across a forum discussing how you ought to be strung up for doing "this, that and the other" to a poor unsuspecting classic!
Or worse, it ends up being dissected on Pistonheads' "badly modified" threads...

I think the more rare the car the more you should expect to come across it, but I agree it would be nice if publications etc. would acknowledge or let you know. Unfortunately that just isn't practical in most circumstances.

Type in the 'images' browser 'integrale evo2' and about 1/4-1/3rd down your search you'll see a few pictures of a blue ones various panel shots with lots of holes.... not quite so glamorous as I'd like frown

My car wins the 'Jaguar XJ40 bulkhead rust' Google search, occupying positions #1, #2, #4, #6, #8, #9 and #10...

It gets the 1-2 on 'Jaguar Sovereign rust' too. paperbag

I've typed my car's reg. no. into google before and found some pictures, which led to further information about the car.

rofl infamy!

There used to be a load of pics of my MG & indeed me on the Midget & Sprite OC site, probably due to the stupid hat I wore when I won the autotest at Brooklands in 2000 or so hehe I think it was the 50th Anniversary meet.

Yep the PH Heros article on my 1.9 205 GTI.

Although they photoshopped the number plate I knew it was mine.

It's how I came to join this site.

Nigel, look closer. nerd I'm not parked, that IS the only photo of the car moving!! and you'll also see it had been raining and has got wet. The two things you never thought I did!!! biggrin

The photo was from one of these events listed on the left of this page linked, if you've been to any of them, have a look. smile
