Classic Car meet at The Bull Inn Stanford Dingly.
Discussion
Weather looks good and one of the Mazzers is in passable health so I'm planning to be at the Bull... might even persuade the wife to bring Mazzer number two if she can stand the racket from the blowing exhaust. (Huge backfire and it split a 6 inch section lengthways down the stainless pipe!) Very very seldom will anyone see two 430s in the same place... (and seldom will anyone care I hear you say!)

I was always quite keen on the 430, and did consider one as a daily driver, but I was never brave enough to do anything serious about it. If you have two you are clearly I fully acknowledge that I have ended up in an automotive cul de sac with these old Italians. I too am not quite brave enough to drive one every day, but that's more due to fuel thirst than anything. My "good" one is vey good and gives very little trouble plus it is still capable of sprinting to 60 in 5.7 secs... and all that leather and wood for the price of a Morris Minor.
My "bad" one is a great example of how bad they can be... and yet it is still comically entertaining in a "Withnail and I" kind of way.
I have another three carb-fed biturbos languishing in the weeds, two are utterly beyond help but the third might just make it back on the road if can find the time.
I just can't bring myself to scrap any of them, there are so few left (check out "howmanyleft.co.uk"

anyone going next saturday, 8th june?
saladin, my sister lives in your village and may be trundling along in the caterham to my place beforehand; you're more than welcome to join us.
Can she give me a lift? The Scimitar is off the road at the moment having its distributor rebuilt. saladin, my sister lives in your village and may be trundling along in the caterham to my place beforehand; you're more than welcome to join us.

God, I remember attending these 13 years ago with my old Alfa. As said by those below, there used to be a great variety of cars and bikes back then, along with the cracking roasts.
I will check the later dates, as it would be great to see if the numbers increase throughout the year.
ETA this photo I found from the last time I went back in 2000,

Now that's an interesting picture. That's my old Daimler, a good buddy's VWPorsche 914, and previous neighbours TVR S1, and Fiat Dino. Do you have any more pics of that drive-in?I will check the later dates, as it would be great to see if the numbers increase throughout the year.

I am afraid I have no more photos of this event as the old SD card got corrupted. But I do remember talking tot the Dino owner on his lovely car and history.
