What another great meet :-) Loved the series three E-type... what a beauty... Nice to chat with the owner as well... If you are here sorry I did not get your name :-( I was the chap with the Scimitar :-)
Saladin, I didn't realize it was you in the SE6...she sounds great by the way...Ben and I were there in the two MG's. Particularly liked the Humber Hawk Estate...can't remember the last time I saw one, let alone on the road in great condition and with a racing starter switch too!
The chap with the V12 is called Brian, we'd never met him before but he certainly had some interesting things to say. The afternoon's conversation ended with indepth discussion on nymphomaniacs...it appeared to be quite a favourite subject for him and he's 67. If you're reading this, Brian, keep on pulling
Another nice little turnout today, with some real horsepower present

It's 2014 now and today is the second Saturday so maybe there is a Classic Saturday today, lunchtime at The Bull - I haven't been since Robert was running it.
Here are a few dusty old snaps, allegedly from 2001 (Where has all that time gone????) - very busy meets in those days

Some more from 2007 -

Ray, welcome to PH. Your photo's have brought back some memories - I was there for both of these and seeing Bob stood there next to the C-Type Rep' has brought good memories flooding back. RIP Bob, you are missed by many.
Also, the green B' above is mine taken last summer. A few of us will be there today from just after midday...the car won't be there as currently looks like this...

Thank you for the welcome!
I used to come in my grey Sierra Cosworth, green Capri or blue Lambretta and generally managed to drag family/friends along too. Everybody used to love it, even if cars weren't their thing.
Yes, sad about Robert/Bob. He was so enthusiastic and always gave EVERYONE a warm welcome and showed interest in their car.
Cosworth long gone but not forgotten. Still have both the other two vehicles but hope to turn up in a recently-purchased orange Mk1 Capri today.
Please say Hello!

Well, some months have passed and the meets are continuing but they really need support from us guys with the cars!
People generally seem confused about when these events happen and even where....
I know of three pubs in West Berkshire that welcome Summer Saturday classic car meets - there are probably more!
The obvious thing to do (...to me at least...) was to put something on the Internet and publicise it so that people are more aware. Please take the time to look at -
www.classicsaturdays.co.uk
- and note the invitation to send your email address for updates and reminders so you don't miss any more of the fun (...which is how the Bull used to enjoy such success). Or at the very least check the website out from time to time in case things change or more pubs get added to the list.
I have no connection with any of the pubs and the only thing I stand to gain is to spend more time tyre kicking - no bad thing! The website is simple, cheap and cheerful but please don't despise it for that - it's just serving as a means to an end.
Hopefully I'll see some of you guys at the Cottage Inn meet, Upper Bucklebury, tomorrow lunchtime. Ignore today's thunderstorm - sunshine has been booked!

Well there you go - you learn something new every day - I've been mispronouncing it for years! At least I got the web address right!
Thanks for the support, Doofus and you can't miss the Cottage - it's the only pub in town! (On the straight run through the village, not confusing Upper Bucklebury with Bucklebury Village of course!)

Just a reminder that it's The Bull Classic Vehicle monthly lunchtime meet at Stanford Dingley this coming Saturday, 13 September. 12.00 onwards.
This will be the final meeting at the Bull this year so don't be shy - come on down! (It's another good forecast for this weekend by the way.)
If everyone who's turned up so far during the last three months all turn up together we would have at least two dozen cars attending plus any newcomers/old stagers so it's definitely moving back into the right direction!
See you at The Bull?
Here are some pictures, old and new -

Anyone know if/when car meets will be on in the coming year? I know it's a bit early but hoping to pick up a new car in the near future and already planning some trips out... cheers...
Hi SpoodlerThe meets are most certainly continuing in 2015!
The first of the year will be at The Cottage in Upper Bucklebury on the last Saturday of this month - 25 April.
Before that one however we have been invited to join West Berks Classic Vehicle Club at their own monthly lunchtime meet this coming Saturday, 18 April.
It would be just great if all those previous attendees who have posted in this thread were to bring their classics along to these meets.
As before, check out the website for full details and updates - www.classicsaturdays.co.uk
