Worth less (not worthless) in yellow though (according to my mate dave the trader), this affects Ferraris more though, anyone (like chris evans) who paints them anything else needs deporting on the convict ship to OZI've known this car since I was 5 years old when it was new, same chap still owns it, and I've spent many many hours with it, one day I would love to take over its ownership.
The car has never been painted or restored other than replating of some engine components and has 14000 miles on it.

The colour was Alpine Mauve though they did do a blue.
Thread resurrection time as I missed it the first time around. The colour was Alpine Mauve though they did do a blue.
Picture is of a 1960 948 Herald I rescued from a field near Newent in Gloucestershire, must have been 1981 - cost me forty quid - under 40,000 on the clock. Had to find a correct front suspension turret, (different to later cars) as someone had used it for racing - located at a scrapyard in Nuneaton.
I remember driving from Coventry to the south coast for a job interview one day. I decided to replace the original 4.875:1 diff with a 4.11 version to make cruising a bit more relaxing, the evening before. One of the rear case bolts was seized solid and it two me two hours to hacksaw through both sides to release it from the chassis. Happy days.

And I briefly owned a Griff which was a splendid colour, but again I never knew whether it was lavender, violet or just plain blue.
Is that not Rolex Blue? And I briefly owned a Griff which was a splendid colour, but again I never knew whether it was lavender, violet or just plain blue.
This thread is throwing up a lot of pale blue cars, not lavender. A rare colour indeed.
