Not without the vehicle make unfortunately (unless someone here works for the DVLA).
I hate to say it, but the photo looks a bit Photoshopped to me. Detail, colour and reflections around the side windows don't look quite plausible.
its not photoshopped! it could be home made though the car am trying to find outI hate to say it, but the photo looks a bit Photoshopped to me. Detail, colour and reflections around the side windows don't look quite plausible.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a bit of Interceptor under there.... Jensen did a lot of work with other manufacturers (think Austin A40 Sports and Volvo P1800), so it could well be something that they bodied up for another company. Could have even been done by JP&S after the demise in '76 using an old Interceptor chassis.
There was a rumour doing the rounds too when Ian Orford owned JP&S of an Interceptor MKV (which never materialised AFAIK) - I wouldn't be surprised if he fancied going back to fibreglass bodies, and it does have a strong midlands whiff about it... Given how the later factory cars like the Coupe were a bit of a mash of cars too, convertible rear end, and an XJ6 rear screen - it's a possibility the Interceptor V would have had parts from a number of manufacturers to keep costs down (if it did ever exist).
Would be interesting to chat with the owner(s)....

Joking apart, could this have been an ISO trial-motor, maybe, Italian-made from biscuit-boxes but with Ford V8. Has bit of late 70s Lancia look to some of the parts. Wide windscreen and that drivers door doesnt look like gen photo tho. A car of this type doesnt just mysteriously appear without even the owner who paid the money for it knowing a thing about it, so who knows what??? Spill the beans.

Yeah, you've got to ring him and find out what it is, don't think I've ever seen the forums so stuck on identifying something before. How about this

A one off super car only one ever built I believe !!
Wheels and tyres even seem similar but the back end of rear side window and front edge of front wing is slightly different.

The more I look at it, the more it looks like a Heath Robinson effort to me. That clumsy badge on the side and the seemingly vestigial pop-up light covers (a la Elan +2).
I think we're looking at a one-off home-built 1970s coupe, probably of modest chassis/engine. I don't think it was aimed at the same sort of billionaire clientele as the Monteverdi.
This being PH, surely it's about time someone tutted about the lack of spare parts availability should someone decide to restore it!

If it helps, 845, 846, 847 and 848 were all Morris Marinas, so I expect that this car was built around a BL car. 844 was a Princess. Are the lights off one of those? Or a Stag? Any XJ-S in there?
Interesting but the lights are different to the twin headlights from a 70s Princess. Had a good look but I can't see any similarities unfortunately.Gassing Station | Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
