Given that there were under 400 Volumexes sold in the UK (from memory, something like 180 ish HPEs and 150 ish Coupes), the survivor rate doesn't seem as bad as you might at first expect. I am sure that more than 400 1300 Coupes were sold in the UK, (although Lancia did not sell many RHD coupes in that engine size, the 1600s and 2000s being far more in demand), but there are only known to be four of them on the road, one of which I own. Number of projects and barn dwellers and scrapyard lurkers unknown. I pay no attention to that useless how many left site, as it is always wrong about everything.

In that environment the car looks like it would stay mega dry...
I was thinking that; someone might have done it a big favour putting it in there.

You would probably have to strip the car to bits in order to get the grain dust out of the important components, but the humidity level in that silo must be very, very low. If the car had had a decent cover on it, it might have been ready to charge up and drive out (assuming engine not seized).

I suspect it's rather gone to seed.

It could make a rice car with some tidying and maybe an oat of paint.

Another view of the clutch fixage in progress, with the engine hanging off a bar.

To access the clutch you have to remove or at least loosen the subframe that supports the engine. Lancia used a special cradle to support the engine during this work, and the HBOL recommends lifting the engine out, but absent an engine hoist you can suspend the engine from a cross bar as seen in the pic.

I have one of those official cradles for the gearbox, don't think I'll ever use it though I think it's only practical to use on a proper garage ramp

I'd be a maized if there wasn't a bit more lurking underneath. But I can barley see any rusk in the pics.

Does FCP 4S survive G? This car belonged to a friend of mine when I owned my first HPE.
