I recall thinking that Volvo was damned ugly when they lauched it. It was a Swedish version of the American Pimp-wagons.

The original Ferguson R4 prototype 4-wheel drive car was no looker, but is cool in that it is unique.

Great post, never seen that one before.

Looks like it was based on early /mid 50s Rover P4.

I don't think anyone was suggesting that it no longer exists.

Its not just the C pillars on the 262, its the whole proportions thing, looks like a tank without its gun. Same as some '60s Merc Coupes!

That's one of Mrs Blib's favourite cars. She owned one as a student and she says she's determined to own one once again.
Spotted one of these today, first one I've seen for many years!

Zagato for me any day of the week. uglier the better I say!
Fulvia Zagato is one of my faves though.
Cars that are deemed to be 'pretty' just don't do it for me.

The Alfa Junior is quite pretty by modern Zagato standards. I'd forgotten how weird some of their creations have been, using cool cars as a basis, and then wrecking their desirability...

Forced to agree wth you on the Ferrari.
Love that Aston Zagato.
Never liked the DB7, thought it was boring after the brute that was the AMV8 Zagato and the 70s/80s V8 Vantage

I finf it strange that a company lookand style, such as Zagato have, can still be quite recognisable 50 years later.

Regarding cars looking like fish, here's the Daimler Grouper
