Just wow! I know perspective comes into it, but they are now on different scales to each other. That Ovlov used to be a whopping big car.

The Volvo is over a metre longer and both wider and higher than the mini.

It's just further away.....

Indeed, and yet the 3.7m long MINI (still 20cm shorter than a 1960's Ford Anglia) has significantly better crash survivability than the 4.8m long Volvo estate...

If what you say is true I wouldn't have taken the picture.

The Volvo may be longer but that isn't really point of thread is it, the Volvo used to be a large car and the Mini wasn't. It's not as though the Volvo is parked half a mile down the road.

Think the best pictures on this thread are the ones that show the classic in the foreground as this really demonstrates the size difference.
In this picture the Volvo isn't half a mile down the road, but perspective plays a major role. Look at the two minis. The yellow one looks larger than the grey one, but they are the same model.

Correction the grey one is a newer slightly larger one.

Not really a 'modern', but certainly an older smaller car, although there is another "larger" classic making it's way into the right of the photo too.

In the same theme, showing the old Ecurie Ecosse transporter next to a new one.

Look at the tiny little Astra! Cuuute!! I bet you could fit it in the MINI's boot.

those "minis" dwarf SWMBO's modern Merc estate. I think something about the word mini got lost in translation.

I'm slightly more surprised to see that Citroen at all than by its size.

A quick look at your garage details suggests it might be your car. Very smart looking!
