When I first had a 944 & 968 (when I was a lad), they were a reasonably large car. Now theyre dwarfed by most cars, including my girlfriends Astra!
This is actually true. Even the 928 is starting to look pretty compact. The current Astra is VAST.

I can't remember if I've posted this photo before or not, two of my old cars. Probably a slight trick of the camera but the mk1 Escort is a very compact car when compared to the FRP.

If I'd realised that this thread was still 'alive' I would have taken a photo today of one of those ghastly Lexus 4x4s parked next to our Midget and a proper Mini. I know the Midget and Mini were intended to be small and the Lexus is on the upper end of the size scale, but it was about twice as high as the M.G., twice as long as the Mini and 150% as wide as both.

Apologies for the poor camera phone picture. Here are two of mine - a new(ish) Dodge Charger and a 1954 XK120. Oddly the XK is bigger than I thought it would be!

Foisted onto ASDA in Sheffield by the city council. If they wanted the planning permission to extend the car park then they had to appease the hand-wringers.

There was quite a thread about it on PH at the time that the picture was taken. I visited specially to stick it to the man... hehe

Spotted this picture posted in another thread and was surprised that even a relatively modern 996 can be made to look so small:
