Classics dwarfed by moderns
Discussion
I don't think my 97 TVR has obtained classic status yet but this is a photo that I took on the first day I bought it.
I couldn't believe how tiny it is compared to modern stuff and not even big modern stuff. Modern sports cars aren't this small and my car is only 17 years old.
Apologies for dark photo....
PS - excuse the bad parking over to one side! My daily is a 5 series so I normally aim for that far away from the right side of the bay to be central(ish).

Our Kate, TVR Chimaera dwarfed by a couple of moderns at Manchester Airport. Funny thing is she doesn't feel small from the inside..
Taking height out of the equation (Fiesta @ 1320mm / Chimaera @ 1215mm):
The width of the Fiesta is @ 1634mm.
The width of the Chimaera is @ 1865mm
The length of the Fiesta is @ 3828mm
The length of the Chimaera is @ 4015mm
That to Me says that the reality is, only one of those cars is really dwarfing the classic, the other one just appears to be dwarfing it due to an optical illusion (aided by the Chimaera being parked slightly further back than the other two).

I'm prepared to be corrected if wrong but I think the dimensions quoted above are Fiesta without wing mirrors and the Chimaera with wing mirrors. The width of the Chimaera is @ 1865mm
PS - the fiesta is also an 'old' fiesta made around the same time as the Chim.
