Not upset at all. Merely amused by the illiteracy and ignorance of the posts a few above. Bloke posts in a classic car forum and can't spell Jensen. Here's a clue to finding out what cars are called. They usually have their names written on them. HTH!
yeah that fine IF he happens to be standing in front of one whilst posting - but perhaps he wasn't and it was a simple speeling mistake or he doesn't know the marque

By the way, it is childish to invent quotes and falsely attribute them to other posters. Be a good little boy and don't do it again. It just makes you look stupid.

don't you mean "go away little man" fit your stereotype better and possibly your true nature

You deliberately misquoted me. I called you out on it, and now you're bleating. Bless.

One typo and I'm illiterate and ignorant?

You're quite something, aren't you?

Trying to bluff the fact that you didn't know how to spell the name of a manufacturer well known in classic car world (and about which there is currently a thread on page 1 of this forum - the diesel thread) by saying that your finger somehow amazingly slipped from the e key to the o key just makes you look silly.

Don't be such a weapon.

A typo in that usually I'd write the person's name Jenson, so did that without thinking. I doubt I've ever typed the car name before.

I don't usually visit the classic car bit (I'm more of a classic/vintage bike man) but as I posted a photo in this thread before (of the sidecar outfit, ironically just after I'd just been shown around Harry Ferguson's private museum) it came up in the my stuff bit, so had a look to see if it was anything relevant to what I'd posted. So I had no idea that there was a diesel thread I'm afraid.

your intellect isn't always as sharp as you believe

it was a deliberate misquote as a joke

the original is plain for anyone to see a some post before

you "dear(old) boy" got the wind up your skirts because someone stepped on one of your particular dislikes and then was demeaning to me, please try to look down your nose at people a little less, despite your occupational bias

you're still happy to dish it out but can't take back, lighten up or do come out with your candidacy for Ukrap

Meanwhile, here's a picture of classic dwarfed by a modern. I don't know if it's a repost, but frankly I don't care

if you think that I can't put up with having the piss taken then you haven't read my stuff, as I regularly take the piss out of myself.
That's like saying "If you don't think I'm funny well you're wrong as I regularly laugh at my own jokes"

hehe

Yes. Now I'm taking the piss. What're you gonna do now....

Once that self satisfied nodding smiley comes out it's pretty plain that the poster is desperate. It's sometimes good to be reminded that all cars are just cars. Silly money pits whether old or new. Getting upset as some have here when when someone says "oi mate, your car is rubbish" is daft. All cars are rubbish. Mine, yours, everybody's. Fun rubbish, luckily for those of us who like them.

My car's not rubbish.

I've tried taking bits of it to the tip and they sent me away.

Someone who is into JensEns should know it's an old jalopy (plural jalopies) surely?

Tbh it's a slang word so spelling is up for debate smile

The use of the term jalopes was deliberate. Jalope, jalopy, jalopies, heap, POS, rustbucket, cranky old grid, yarmouth, you name it. I call my rackety old moneytraps all of these things and more.
