A couple I spotted today, not quite dwarfed, but interesting comparisons:

A Mini which is about the same size as a car once described as a lorry:

And a Supermini the same size as a family saloon:

Sheesh, they could've run a mower over that paddock before letting people in.

I agree that comparing dissimilar types of car old and new clouds the issue. What isn't in question is that cars have, in the main, bloated horribly.

Think the trouble was that the weather was pretty poor and stopped them being able to cut the grass this week and then it was good today so more spectators turned up than expected - that is a nice problem to have though! (At Harewood Hillclimb by the way)

Here is a great one taken from the Goodwood Festival of Speed live thread:

Definitely not perspective making the old Mini look smaller than its newer descendant!

I was surprised at how much bigger the Evora seemed in comparison to the GTA

Both have 4 seats, but the GTA can fit adults in the back whereas anyone over 5ft doesnt really fit in the Evora.

The Lotus being that much bigger than the GTA is ridiculous! Would never have expected that seeing the cars together.

Never having seen them together I'd always thought the Alpine would be the bigger.
