I agree that comparing dissimilar types of car old and new clouds the issue. What isn't in question is that cars have, in the main, bloated horribly.

Think the trouble was that the weather was pretty poor and stopped them being able to cut the grass this week and then it was good today so more spectators turned up than expected - that is a nice problem to have though!
