i'd be interested to put a corsa C or D up against mk 1or 2 Astras....
Can't find a picture of them together, but the Corsa D is 1mm longer, 101mm wider and 88mm taller than an Astra Mk1 according to Wikipedia.

it's on the Astra 'Delta II' platform, not the Insignia 'Epsilon II'
Thanks for the clarification, I don't have a great deal of interest in the car so hadn't paid much attention to the technical details, but think it looks pretty good and should have an appeal as a reasonably spacious four set cabrio.
I agree, my wife once had an Astra GTE Convertible (Bertone) and this looks like a reasonable car in that style.

I'm not sure I've ever forgiven my Dad for turning down an SP as straight swap for our Herald convertible.

I recognise that Jensen MTU700L. I'm sure it was featured in one of the classic car magazines years ago.

I was surprised at how much bigger the Evora seemed in comparison to the GTA

Both have 4 seats, but the GTA can fit adults in the back whereas anyone over 5ft doesnt really fit in the Evora.

That GTA looks fantastic.

Perhaps not dwarfed, but you can really see how it's grown over a couple of decades. Both look good though.

The 991 does look good but the 993 was the peak of 911styling IMO. They just look superb from any angle.

Agreed, the 993 manages a modern and classic look at the same time and still looks good today. What's interesting is that Porsche have kept the same styling features over the years with increasing proportions and size yet it still looks good. But it's the 993 for me every time.
